Features - Inactivity Timeout

Inactivity Timeout feature is required when several users want to use the same shared USB device. USB over Ethernet automatically detects when device is not in use and allows other users to connect it, while disconnecting from the current user.

Device is marked as inactive if there was no activity for the particular amount of time, after this the server will allow other users to grab this device. Timeout value may be set up on the server computer in Local USB Device Properties.

NOTE. Inactivity Timeout feature is device-dependent and may not work for all USB devices. Please test it with your device before using.

For more information on how to enable this feature see How to Enable Inactivity Timeout.
