Features - Custom Device Names USB over Ethernet allows you to assign custom names to shared devices. This is required when there are multiple identical USB devices attached to the computer. For example, you have a red and blue USB flash drives plugged in. In general case they both will appear as a "USB Device - Flash Drive" in a list of local USB devices. It is quite difficult to distinguish which entry corresponds to which device. Custom device naming allows you to easily resolve this problem. Just insert a red flash drive first and rename it to "Red Flash Drive". Then insert a blue flash drive and rename it to "Blue Flash Drive". Now, everytime the red drive is plugged in, it will be shown as a "Red Flash Drive", while blue drive will be named "Blue Flash Drive".
